John "Hammer" Hanrahan is a two-time Division I NCAA All-American and finished his career as the "winningest wrestler" in Penn State University's history becoming the first Nittany Lion in the school's stellar history to surpass the "century" mark in victories. He is an Eastern Wrestling League Hall of Fame inductee and went on to become a leader in the health and fitness industry and also has coached at three Division I programs: Penn State, Fordham and American universities, producing numerous national champs and place-winners during his tenure. Coach Hanrahan has represented the United States in international wrestling competitions and has placed in many world level Tournaments, including earning a bronze medal in the tough Canadian International Cup.

Coach Hammer has extensive experience in molding and prepping champions From the Senior World to the local Junior level. He has also played a role in preparing fighters for competition in the octagon, including former UFC champion Randy Couture. In 1995-96 he began training with Renzo Grace and began incorporating a hybrid approach to folk style, freestyle and Brazilian jui jitsu arts, now known as MMA. John himself was the 2007 South East Region, World Team Trials Champion in USA Wrestling's FILA sanctioned Grappling.

As an NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Coach Hammer was a featured presenter at the 2007 National Strength & Conditioning Association's National Convention, speaking on the topic of preparing wrestlers and MMA fighters muscular and anaerobic energy systems for peak competition. JOHN HANRAHAN - is a USA Wrestling Certified Coach NSCA, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist General Sciences degree, The Pennsylvania State University NSPA, CPT, AIS & CCS Exercise Science Certifications.
