*Sit
Back to a Power Roll/ Granby
Sit back pressuring into
the opponent gaining wrist control. When the opponent continues to put pressure
back in to you,
step your non-wrist control side foot across, transfer all your weight to this
foot which is now your “push foot”, spring off
this foot , tucking your chin to the chest and driving your hips up and over
into a flying roll as you also maintain wrist
control, throw your other arm across your chest to perpetuate the roll momentum.
Land maintaining wrist control - come
around and secure the hips for reversal control.

*
Standing Power Roll /Granby
A strong sit back with
pressure in from your opponent may bring you right to a stand position. With
wrist control and the
opponent driving in, step your push foot across and fire into a standing power
roll - tucking your chin to the chest and
driving your hips up and over into a flying roll as you also maintain wrist
control, throw your other arm across your chest
to perpetuate the roll momentum. Land either maintaining wrist control and
coming behind or many times you may lose
wrist control because the G-forces of the Roll - Simply roll fully out getting
your escape, turn in and immediately face your
opponent in an offensive stance.

* Power
Roll /Granby to a Peterson
If
your opponent follows on your roll, come through the crotch with your non wrist
control arm. Instead of coming
around behind continue rolling towards your back while bringing your opponent
with you with your wrist and crotch
trap. As you roll through your opponent will be under you on his back while you
are on top of him in a controlled
wrist and leg hold - called a Peterson. Continue to keep your weight fully on
your opponent (butt off the mat), and
control for back points.
