Foot Sweeps

The Foot Sweep can be preformed when you have secured Double
Under-Hooks. Bait your opponent to brace and defend in the
opposite direction of which you plan to strike. Pull downward on
the opposite side that you want to attack, once you feel your
opponent brace to compensate for your pull down, now shift all of
your weight to your far leg - using a burst of hip and tork motion
bring your opponents upper body towards your sweep side leg.
Your sweep side leg should maintain it’s position as a blocking
obstacle that your opponents legs are forced to cross. With the
right tork your opponents weight should be off is feet as he is
swept across your sweep/ blocking leg. Continue the movement
as you knock his legs out with the sweep, following through to the
mat as you continue with a near under hook pull-down and finish
on top of your opponent, chest on chest.
