Block & Snap-Defending Shots

Superior position makes you the aggressor even in a
defensive posture.Defending Shots with Sprawls - Weight
off of the front foot review.
A good stance is the first element required to defend against
an opponent’s shot. If you’ve maintained weight on the back
leg you can easily pull back your Lead Leg as your opponent
begins to penetrate inward. Up-Block with your Lead Leg
Protection Arm forearm to stop his incoming momentum -
once you do, lower the boom to the back of his head,
snapping his head - aim to out your opponent‘s nose in the
mat. Once the opponent is extended keep the weigh of chest
on, reach down and transition the Snap side arm, under and
across for an Under-Hook drag to the opponents tricep and
use that hook to clear the arm off your leg and as a handle
to drag your self around and gain control.
